Board Election 2009

As you will know nominations for the board election are now open: Election

Unusually there are three places available this year, which should make things interesting.

Who would you like to see stand from the secondary market community?

What would you like to see in their election statement?

Personally I'm looking for someone who can see through the 'smokescreen' and 'spin' of recent events and focus on gaining better understanding amongst the membership and sorting out the real issues e.g. when are we going to get 1-10 year renewals, free online transfers, waiting lists?

I'd also like to see someone ask questions about internal issues such as LTIP and HR - it may have nothing to do with us the membership, but we elect the directors and it is our money they are spending!

These often veer toward rather pedantic and operational considerations and away from the vision and mission of the PAB.

You guys that know me know exactly how long I'd last. I mean, down to how many minutes on the first day. Anyway, I'd feel like a fish out of water, like that new pseudo-elected person in The Islamic Republic of Iran that self-styles himself "I'm a dinner jacket" or however you pronounce it with his tongue.
