Brutal Domain Scam..

Has anyone heard of Telecom Domains Ltd

From what I can gather, this company are conning vulnerable end users (I know this because I happened to speak to them personally, they didn't know at the time who I was)

into thinking they are:

A. Buying and own the domains (registrant is always Telecom Domains)
B. That the domains will deliver lots of traffic
C. That no one in the UK can ever own a "domain" except them (so they acting as some sort of Nominet entity)
D. Endlessly bullying on the phone for credit card payments saying all sorts of stuff will happen and conflict with their website unless they pay.

Now these are just trashy domains, no sites or other services, they just redirect to homepage (if lucky).

Imagine Old Granny, the little business owner paying for renewals on about 5/10 crappy domains, they don't even own which = high £££ per year - for years!

I've now had 4 people contact me about this - what can be done..?

I think this is very unethical.

I'm pretty sure they'll care quite a bit. Nominet are more willing to listen on day-to-day stuff than most other organisations I know.

Absolutely they'll care - it breaks their T&Cs.
