Re .me.uk, if the keyphrase is good, then can be occasionally be sold for a reasonable sum.

Its a little bit like property, people start with the location and most business in uk want .co.uk and the rest want .com
Think about what the person who is buying the domain wants. Investors certainly wont be buying it and thats why theres loads of those extensions on here for sale.

.me.uk are not the 'best' .uk extension, but the value of .me.uk's will increase as time passes. Also, .me.uk's do have a unique quality with certain phrases... marry.co.uk doesn't look as good as marry.me.uk!
cashforgold may be a little behind in the 'peak' of interest in gold... but maybe not... we shall see.
I'd not be quite as optomisitic as Doodlebug in terms of current market price, but I think it could fetch £200 - £300 to the right buyer.
Good luck!.. and don't be put off by the dinosaurs who reckon the .me.uk extension is flawed... it's not.
There are always going to be some exceptions to that. Like Monopoly, if you only have Old Kent Road, but you put some decent property on it, you can still have a winner!
