Does anyone know how to register one of these and be allowed?
I have tried twice to register a .com.au but each time I have been told that since I don't run a business or reside in the merry old land of OZ I can't have it.

Does anyone know an easier way?

You have to be an auzzy not just reside there if you are buying personally, or have company or trademarks.

Sadly are quite tight on ownership rules.
