Has anyone had any experience of selling .uk's on dan.com

I've been looking at it today but can't really get a feel for if I'll get good money from end users there which easily justify's the 9% fee instead of selling trade on DL for lower figures?

Also do people go for the rental/lease purchase options they're offering?

Appreciate any info, Thanks

Hi, I sold one co.uk domain on DAN this year between $1K and $2K.

Havent sold enough to make comparisons.

I have sold an .io domain via the payment plan option, but buyer stopped paying after month 3 and the domain was returned to me.

All my domains are listed on DAN. I have had many other ccTLD sales through them, always smooth sailing as far as their process goes.

Hope it helps.

As with any platform, it will very much depend on the quality of your names.

I've been using Dan.com a lot recently and am really impressed by the ease of use of the site and excellent support.

Dan.com isn't perfect, but they are looking to keep improving. Suggestions I've made for improvement are already in the pipeline or were forwarded for consideration.

I do take advantage of the payment by instalment option (it's not available for low priced domains which is good).
One thing to note here is you will receive monthly payments and as they come from Holland, a lot of UK banks will charge you a foreign transfer fee even if payment is made in pounds sterling. That adds up over the months so make sure you use a bank that doesn't charge this fee.

I love using Dan.com

Sold quite a few names on there.

Very easy to use.

We've found Dan.com to be more successful than Sedo but there have been a number of issues. They don't appear to do any checks prior to offers being submitted so we've had a lot for £millions, one from the Queen of England and a high percentage of agreed sales that don't pay.

I had a 100,000,000 offer come in via DAN.

I asked them how they'd like to pay.

Thank you all thats really useful, I've created an account and will see how I get on :)

Mostly positive experience using DAN.com, it's not perfect but it's a lot better than others I've used before. Friendly support too.
