I've only ever recieved a few despite registering more than that, are they only sent to accounts with new email addresses? many have different registrant names.

Or do they not send them any more?

They don't send them out any more.

True. I don't think they send out anything much on paper these days, although once in a while I still get a paper copy of a domain transfer invoice from them (not every time, seems pretty random - maybe every half a dozen times or so)

I get paper invoices every month, along with other invoices for domain transfers, it seems like a real waste of paper. In my account it's set to not send invoices by mail, email only, but still they come every month.

I used to receive these in Holland and two things always came to mind.

1. It must cost a fortune to send these things all over the world.
2. Why does an organisation like Nominet (tech, internet etc..) send out letters? Isn't an email enough?

I still have the one of my first .Uk registration, a memory of how a way too expensive hobby started :D

Same here with invoices. I'm always surprised when a transfer fee invoice arrives because generally I don't get them.

You'd have to expect they'll be coming back though, with .uk verification?

For a new email address you now get an email (used for online services) like this instead:
