www.domain.co.uk still resolves so must be a WHOIS error.

A minor whois glitch I'm afraid, as it still resolves to sedo.co.uk who are the current owners.

well, just tried to register it tonight via 123-reg.

it is still showing up as available via nominet whois and 123-reg accepted the order which i paid for.

so wait with interest to see what happens next.

Leslie,

Check your control panel in 123-reg, I would say it will not show there.

There is clearly an error in the WHOIS system so you will have to apply for a refund.

Had the same thing happen to me last night, my software flagged up that flowersdirect.co.uk was availible. When I saw that I almost fell off my chair, I registered it in a heart beat, and I started thinking what I could do with such a great name. Kept checking the whois waiting to see my name, checked to see if it had any old backlinks and it had loads, I'd almost ordered the new Porsche, then I found it was a current site and the whois was wrong

I've just spotted that I have one of my own doing the same
- domainhypermarket.co.uk the whois was working a couple of days ago, and now isn't :?

there seems to be loads of domains affected. check mp3.co.uk

there will be a lot of refunds due at 123-reg.co.uk and other registrars over this!

I think Nominet out of hours staff are playing domain mahjong to see how many specs they get. Hopefully it's just a small glitch and doesn't affect websites etc.
