Domain Focus Pre-event for Acorn users.

Hi Everybody,

You have probably all seen the thread about the Domain Focus live auction on the 6th-7th September in London. We are currently considering the possiblilty of organising a get-together the evening before for any Acorn users who will be attending the DF auction, and would welcome any ideas from you as to what form the event could take. All (sensible) ideas are most welcome!

It might also be nice to hear if any of you are interested in attending the auction, and bidding on the excellent .uk names that are going to be under the hammer!

why not sell (or at least try to sell) some of the very large amount of generic one word DN's you have in your current listings, this would draw a bigger $/£ ratio for the NOT so very good names for the Focus Show

Owners may not wish to 'commit'. The listings are open ended. I don't think Sedo will agree to high reserve prices at the auction.

Sounds good - we would definitely do the namebadge thing, that came up as a suggestion in a meeting we had last week.

I am quite happy to help organise something - personally I think it would be best to sort something for the saturday as then it can be an overlap of domainfocus and acorn event so those in london for domainfocus are about, and those who cannot make DF can nip down for saturday?!

Hi,

Sorry I haven't replied for a while, I have just got back from my holiday in sunny Scunthorpe.

Any event for Acorn users would have to be the day before Domain Focus rather than after, as we Sedo employees have another engagement straight after DF.

We were thinking of something relatively small and informal, such as booking a table or two at a restaurant.
