Hey domainers

Quick question...

Do you price your opening price higher when you get an reply from outbound end user and find out they have more money to spend or stick with original price you had in mind. Obviously when it's inbound you have more power with negotiation.

Just wanted to get a general feeling

Thanks

I normally have an "ideal" price from the outset of what id accept, also accounting for the responder to knock me down on that price so its slightly inflated for that purpose.

I then have a base price of what id accept at rock bottom, then a below base price to which isnt even worth me replying to the email.

For outbound I wouldnt change the price based on whom im dealing with, Id imagine you could end up getting caught out or not sell it at all at that rate.

For inbound, Id always maximise on the information available to me, but with most inbounds they generally come from an anonymous throw away email address initially until a price is agreed, so even that is hard sometimes.

My philosophy is normally punch high, asses the response and negotiate if the response is worthwhile. Obviously bear in mind I don't make that many sales though lol.

Thanks for feedback Adam.

This was a £1 hand registration so will go with churn and burn and not aim to high.
