domain transfer

I am after some advice please.

I have sold a .co.uk domain which was with Fasthosts and the new owner wants it transfered to Godaddy, does he need to set up a transfer in of the domain on his fasthosts account and then I change the IPS Tags for the domain, what would be the correct procedure?

You just send him a transfer request from within your Nominet account, when he receives the email, he will pay the £10 + VAT transfer fee and set the registrar TAG to the GoDaddy TAG during the transfer process.

To update the legal owner/registrant you have to go through Nominet;
http://www.nic.uk/registrants/maintain/transfer/

Fasthosts can update the TAG so Godaddy can manage renewals but that doesn't change ownership
