anyone watched the programme called DOT.CON on the business channel (438) on SKY ?
it talks about the likes of NETSCAPE when they first opened for shares on the market and all these venture capitalist were putting their companies out there before they even traded which resulted in 400 % to 600% increase in share value the same day !
it has a go at the likes of MORGAN STANLEY and CREDIT SUISSE
watch it it's interesting !

I gotta try and find this online. Sounds really interesting.

My first trade was thomson travel I was still at school and made £50 - I was over the moon.

Really wanted to get into Google, but it was all reserved for institutions at the beginning I think.

I steer clear now. I used to trade futures on liffe and then cfd's. My first money making trade was in eurolira (shows how long ago that was!). VM Ware was the last company I fancied and missed the boat on that one!
I stick to the greyhounds and horses now.
