Hi All,

6 Months ago at a PAB Meeting I asked if there was any reason why the standard DRS 'Expert' could not be published on the Nominet website - 6 months on (and with several follow up requests) here is their answer from Martin Boyle:

"At PAB meetings I have said that this has not been a high priority here, but that we would consider your point and let you have a reply.

There are no legal reasons why the standard DRS expert contract could not be published on the Nominet website.

However, as this is an operational issue and is only of direct relevance to those who apply to become experts, we do not intend to make it publicly available.

While we do want to put a bit more information on the website in the experts section about how to apply etc, and to include in that a basic summary of the terms, this is not a current high priority."

...What can I say - is it a satisfactory answer, are Nominet being 'open' about a contract that directly affects Registrants who are involved in a DRS, is the DRS as 'independant' as Nominet make out, is it a good performance from the SMT, are they worth their big fat juicy bonuses?

Answers on a post card please.

Regards,

Sneezy.

Another one for my site I think Sneazy (ebout.co.uk)

By the way Nominet still haven't challenged my site or indeed threatened my server location like they did yours.

These people are not fit to run a membership organisation. Nominet is getting more secretive everyday, No LTIP details, No DRS Contracts (Yet they are more than happy to publish Jim's Non Exec Contract) just to mention a few.

Perhaps someone should apply to become an Expert, and then leave their contract on a train to be found by a helpful member of the public.
