dupes in list

Anyone know of a pc tool which will remove duplicate lines from a list?

I currently use unix or sql but was wondering if theres an easier way to remove dupe rows from an excel list?

Microshaft Loves you, personally I'd move your DB to MySQL and make ot part of your online apps, then just select distinct.

I always use textpad (textpad.com) - Tools > sort > remove duplicates > job done

Oh the pain! all those wasted hours i could of been doing something else!

next you'll be telling me textpad can do sed and awk!

There's a shed load of plugins for it, I haven't found anything it can't do yet.

If you use Unix, you could do it like this in a flash:

sort inputlist >s; uniq s >outputfile; rm -f s

I use unix at work but was at a loss at home. Keep meaning to install solaris on a vm at home.
