Hi guys,

I have a client that over 10 years ago registered a domain - he's using it for the usual stuff but he can't remember which e-mail address is associated with it as far as nominet are concerned.

Is there a way of finding this out?

Perhaps call their customer support team? I always find them exceptionally helpful. I'm guessing - and it's no more than a guess - that they must have a process in place for that sort of thing, even if it involves a manual ID verification step of some kind.

A good guess might be the one used at the Registrar that originally registered it if he still has the same account as I think from memory (which isn't as good as it was) the registrar would have used that email address by default. I could be wrong though, but no harm trying...

As Edwin says, Nominet support has always been excellent. I know someone who had the same problem a few years ago and a phone call to Nominet sorted it, but I don't know the details of the resolution.

Isn't there a big chance the email he was using 10 years ago might now be inaccessible anyway.

Are you gong to reestablish identity route as suggested above?
