On an Airbus A380 with WIFI, $5 for 30MB (not bad!) using Acorn from 40,000 feet at Mach1!

    FTP works too, cool!

    Is this a first?

Ah right, I haven't been in Iraq airspace since 1991! Well its been nice knowing you and thanks for all the good work you've done on the forum. ;)

Seriously though, that seems to be a good service, I haven't seen it on any of the aircraft I've been on recently.

Emirates Airbus A380, Economy includes in-seat power, USB to connect your Apple device to your seat (plays music, shows photos, etc. 200 movies to choose from..... great value for the money.

Still feels very weird using Acorn in the air, only 4 hours to go to LHR.

The A380 is something else. So long as you don't board from the front and have to walk to the very last row for your seat (as I had to) The staircase at the rear is like something out of a Cinema with it's curved design and lighting.

Still I beautiful plane - even had a chance to look into the cockpit which seems quite strange being almost poistioned between the two decks

How did you manage that? Though tthe cockpits were all sealed systems now with no passenger access?

In flight - you are correct. But, Once the plane had landed at Heathrow. The Cockpit/flightdeck door was open and I just asked the steward if I could take a look. And he said yes. You have to climb a couple of steps to get to the doorway and It's surprisingly small inside. With all the systems off there's not too much to see in terms of the control panels - all being digital displays.

Yes I had row 86, which is just as you described it right at the back. Still it's such a pleasure to fly on, the wait to get off is bearable.
