Should have dropped 01/09/2012?

Registrant is a dissolved company so changing ownership would be improper?

Domain name:
fl.co.uk

Registrant:
STODIR UK LIMITED

Registrant type:
UK Limited Company, (Company number: 5830733)

Can a past Director intervene?

In this case there was no liquidator involved in the winding up of the company, so theoretically one of the former directors could go to Nominet and say that the domain name was sold prior to the dissolution.

If he/she were to sign the relevant indemnities that Nominet would presumably ask for, then it would be plain sailing from there.

If that were to happen, it may indeed be the second time that this has happened with this domain name (but I'm not 100% sure on that).

OK, thanks.

So I assume that is why Nominet is deviating from 92 days standard drop cycle?

Whois recently changed to:

Registrant:
Adam Shaw

Registrant type:
UK Individual

Registrant's address:
90 Felsham Road
Putney
London
SW15 1DQ
United Kingdom

@ Dragon, Adam Shaw is/was on the board of directors at FL Group in 2006, he is/was the managing director of UK operations for them, see link: http://www.flgroup.is/library/69

flgroup.is = Stodir, whom the domain was registered to before the registrant change.

Would be interested in hearing the story of how you picked this one up :)

Sure, in short a fair bit of paperwork and documentation had to be produced to satisfy Nominet, so everything was done above board and in line with their rules and requirements before the domain could be transferred to me.

How did you reach out to the previous owners? Did they already recognise the value or?

Sometimes it's good to go back to basics and write a good old fashioned letter. I'm sure they were aware it has some value.
