I could use some info on usa hosting a/c's
how do you pay in $ from uk and how much ?, prices seem cheaper both for hosting and [except .co.uk ] domains,
Any info appreciated...z

Just pay like you normally would, your bank makes the conversion at their exchange rate, normally slightly worse than the "actual" exchange rate.

US hosting is good if most of your visitors or customers are in america, but will be slightly slower for europeans. (Normally anyway. I have some shared hosting in the UK and it's often slower than my shared hosting in the US.)

Fact of the matter is hosting in the UK is slow, costly and you don't get much for your buck.

In the USA, you get everything you could possibly want from shared hosting, fast connections (yes, to europe amazingly) and it costs next to nothing.

I have a reseller account (up to 20 domains) which has more bandwidth, unlimited features, more disk space and all for a fraction (pennies) more than what I paid for one, small shared hosting account in the UK; and that was the cheapest I could find as well :(

Even just going across the water to mainland Europe, prices are cheaper :(
