Yep worry, but what' even more worrying is that it won't be some highly trained MI5 operative watching you. It will be Bob from the local Council.

I have already had one private website threatened with closure by Barnsley Council because they didn't like the content.

Here's an idea, instead of watcing everyone, why don't they just punish people that do crap wrong properly.

Spying !!!

The goverments across the world have been spying on e-mails for a long time but mainly to fight terrorism although they can check what they want, they have a long list of keywords and use voice recognition and can monitor all e-mails, phone calls, fax and radio transmissions anywhere in the world, it's called the ECHELON GLOBAL SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM, Google Echelon and check it out !!! Like i said main purpose to counter terrorism though they can do what they want with it ???

GCHQ - it's in cheltenham iirc, and is used by the govt to monitor all calls, emails etc.

...and was built under a PFI, so the Government don't even own it! :-?

Who's going to write the parsing engine for all this? It's like the 'spam filter challenge' all over again. No quango crowd is ever going to read every transmission, so it's all down to clever parsing. But can it be real? No, of course not. How do I know? Because I've 'consulted' for MI* a few times - cannot say no more. But the idea is preposterous.
