How Do I find Out Where A .COM Was Auctioned?

I'm trying to find out what happened to a .com domain

It was registered at ENOM originally and still says it's registered at ENOM, it expired on the 26th of May and is no longer under the control of the original owner.

Whois currently looks like this

Updated Date: 27-may-2013
Creation Date: 26-may-2009
Expiration Date: 26-may-2014
Name Server: DNS1.NAME-SERVICES.COM

What I'm interested to know is, will this domain have already been auctioned somewhere? namejet I assume since enom seem to be partnered with them..

Or is it yet to be auctioned? and if so when would they auction it..

Just interested to find out the fate of the domain, or if it yet to become available it would be nice to pick it up.

I don't know much about anything when it comes to .coms so any help appreciated.

Its unlikely to have been removed from the original owner after just 4 days, it would still be under the grace period. The name servers are changed instantly by some hosts tho to get your attention, so different name servers doesn't mean control has moved.

You'd need to go to namejet and put a back order in, I'd also back order with domain monster and godaddy, and snap just incase.

Oddly DomainMonster beat GoDaddy for a godaddy name I had back ordered recently so worth booking elsewhere.

Oh yeah of course, you would think I would have guessed .coms have a grace period but apparently I'm not nearly as savvy as I like to believe lol

What is different in the .com world is the grace periods are different lengths and different stages, and some of the grace period you can renew for free, some you can renew for a huge fee, and some of it you can't renew at all.

Company A gives 45 days total, Company B gives 70 days total, they have lots of control over timing.

Its a nightmare, working out what each companies grace periods are, its also possible for names to be transferred rather than dropped, so you can keep the original reg date.

Some companies put ALL names into auction, others only put them in if more than 1 back order too, and some companies don't let strangers into the auctions, so if you didn't back order it, you're not allowed to partake.

Lots of different things going on.
