Just curious how much you would pay for yourname.co.uk e.g. khalid.co.uk and do you think it is worth investing in?

I just reg it, because my was an uncommon name :D

What I mean is - what if the domain was already regged and you had to buy it from a domainer. How much would you pay for it?

1k-5k seems to be the general feeling from most domains i have spoke to.

:)

Would agree with that depending on the name - the more popular names the higher the price.

Prices certainly do seem to be creeping upwards so would nail it before anyone else does.

Or before anyone develops / uses it... :(

Another khalid!

I've not bothered trying to buy it. I'd not use it, and I have my initials anyhow ;)

Andrew.co.uk

I would love Andrew.co.uk, i believe Rob owns this one, maybe i will buy it one day, let me make some more money first lol
The names i have seen for sale and sold average around 2.5 grand.

To me I think it depends on the surname popularity, like 'smith' is a very common name and I'd expect it would be vey high in SE rankings. But if you have a not so well known surname like mine then I'd expect to buy it for around the same price as when buying from a registrar.

Mind you though it does depend on how much you would like that domain name, would you be prepared to pay alot? Only one way to find out is to email the owner, you'd never know. :)

I cant really see the point. what would you use it for?
