Done to death no doubt, but struggling. Interested in a domain (won't disclose sorry), .co.uk, UK individual. Have tried a number of different email addresses @ the domain, but all bounce with "all relevant MX records point to non-existent hosts". The domain isn't being used (from a web presence perspective) and of course the owners details have been hidden as a UK individual.

Any thoughts on what I might be able to do to get in touch?

if only you and the owner went 'wayback' - may help...

Sorry guys, should have said I've tried a number of those already. The way back time machine only offers a few results, all of which are holding pages back to 2008 from Domain Monster, which remains where the domain is parked today.

Would I have any joy in contacting Domain Monster and asking them to forward a message on, or does anyone here work for them and may be able to help?

Other than that, as Tictak has said, I might only find joy in trying a few places based on the name of the owner.

Sorry just thought only a few days ago he was saying hes getting out of domaining and then within a matter of hours hes looking at buying a domain name?

See my post above yours. :)

Also people change their mind all the time. So what if he said that a few days ago? :)

Hi Ian

I am confussed, you said you were getting out of domaining and now you are contacting domain owners?

Sorry for the confusion. I won't be continuing to attempt to catch domains or deal in buying or selling them for the time being, but do have a couple of projects I really need to get moving on and this is for one of them. Having no joy at the moment finding who the owner is, so anyone from Domainmonster can help, let me know ;)

I don't know about domain monster but 123-reg used to forward enquiries on from people all the time, so assuming they are the same support staff, then maybe they will.

Ok makes sense :)

Thanks, I've PM'd the staff member on here and also submitted a support enquiry to see if they can help. Will update.

Contacted Domainmonster, they replied within an hour to say they have forwarded on my enquiry to them. Must say, in all my dealings with Domainmonster, they've always been prompt and efficient in their replies. Here's hoping I get some joy!

Might have this sorted, will update soon.

Domain purchased :D

What a straight forward transaction with an individual that I don't believe has any involvement in domains. He just had the domain for a project that didn't start, so was happy with my offer (low £xxx).

All transferred, just waiting for the MX records to catch up so I can set up the email and website. I guess the transfer and switch to DAILY can take a little while!?!?

Won't mention the domain name at the moment, as it is part of a project I'm starting and want to ensure I have trademarks and associated domains in place first. Hoping it could be something big. Fingers crossed.
