BNP has a 'whites only' membership rule, they want to abolish same sex partnerships etc etc.

I think this is a good thing, because this maybe the shot of adrenaline that the other parties need to sort their sorry act out.

I just hope its caught early, because if the othr parties don't act soon and sort their shit out this will be a roach motel situation.

Problem is with the BNP, apart from their racist policies, their economic policies are much like the Old Labour ones, so it appeals to the Labour voters now who are dissapointed with the way the party is going.

An armchair socialist who goes to LSE in London and was brought up in a middle class family voting labour, will not swap and vote for the BNP

A working class miner who has voted Labour all his life WILL change his vote and go for BNP.

By the way they were against the war in Iraq, which resulted in the deaths of 500,000 people.

That means if they went on the streets of the UK and murdered 1000 a week, it would be nearly 10 years before they were as violent as this lot.

Who are they to tell people who people can and can't vote for? You take people's voices away and that is where the trouble starts and these people get credibility as defenders of freedom.

Bizaare though that they got a big foothold in Barnsley where I live, there aren't any immigrants here. Even the asylum seekers go back to their warzone thinking it's better than here.

As for not saying 'white is right' or better, to be a member of the BNP you need to be "Indigenous Caucasian". As earlier quoted, Nick Griffin made it clear on how he decides that.

Its all about branding and getting people to listen to the propaganda.

I was against the war in iraq, but I am also against the bunch of racists in the BNP. Having the odd thing in common does not mean much, I am sure Mr Hitler loved a cuppa etc

Incidently this is all 65 years on from having a tough time in Normandy against such people.

As Nick Griffin says himself, hes rebranding the message to something more paletable, but that does not mean they are any less abhorrent underneath it depends if you buy it or not. I dont.

EDIT: dont get me wrong, the great thing with democracy is people can vote for who they want. It does require some truthfulness on what people stand for though, and there is alot of people who do not understand what they are voting for out there.

I beleive Nick Griffin when he says that he isn't violent and doesn't condone it, however there is no doubt what lies beneath the surface of the BNP is some shocking characters.

There is no doubt that they are rebranding and starting to look credible. One of the problems is all the lies the media are telling about them. Things like the Ghurkas being kicked out was just false.

Now problem with this is that they tell that many lies, which means that when something does need reporting about what these guys are up to and pushing, nobody is going to believe it.

Fortunately or unfortunately democracy doesn't need people to understand what they are voting for mate, it merely requires the inteligence of a chimpanzee to put a cross on a piece of paper.

But the more politicians keep going on about how abhorent the BNP are the more people are going to vote for them. Perhaps they should think more about the saying "My enemies enemy is my friend" and they may start to approach it differently because people hate mainstream politicians at the moment.

People like the anti facists throwing eggs are also not doing the argument any favours.

Not sure I would agree with that one - Regarding the Gurkhas there is video floating around of Nick Griffin's answer to a direct question on this and he says:

That is simply not the case, Griffin when asked the above *directly* answered with their 'the country is full' policy. Policy specific.

No 'official' position, but to me the views of the leader are pretty clear...
