Interesting,

Although InternetExplorer is trademark its also a generic phrase - like WorldExplorer or JungleExplorer. So as long as you did not try to calim you we're anything to do with MS would it be a problem...

i would get ur "friend" to hand it back to nominet fast, as internet explorer is a microsoft trademark and they are getting pretty hot on people with their domain names!

just a friendly piece of advice! :-D

I have to say, with a name like that I'm surprised you were not the first to get the obligatory M/soft lawyer letter.

But I see it has just been reg'd today, so that will explain it. Unless you have extremely deep pockets and balls the size of King Kong. I would be detaging.

If it comes up again, 6 of us should donate £1 to admin and he can reg it under "acorn domains"

Then email M/soft to tell them we have reg'd it on their behalf to stop cybersquaters and we are waiting to transfer to them for cost price + we would appreciate if they would also consider kindly donating £50 to comic relief as we have saved them a considerable amount in legal fees.

CC a copy to theregister.co.uk and outlaw.com

Good publicity for the forum and UK domaining in the whole.

theregister and outlaw will publish so M/soft daren't say no. I'm sure it would also get a mention in the national press.
