The British Library Business & IP Centre have an inventor-in-residence who gives advice, and run free courses on IP. Might be worth a look:

Appleyard lee's are the BANE of my life (them chasing me), they are like a rabid dog with a bone, the more I ignored them the more they gnawed.

If their as enthusiastic about everything, they would be worth it.

Do tell, what did they do you for?

I can't be specific about details, but I can say no action was actually taken against me due to their client being less than complete with the facts (in my opinion). It was more a case in the end they was infringing my copyright rather than myself trading off their trademark (previous rights was granted).

I said they were thorough.

Why not try Think Fire? I think they can really help you to process your invention.
