Is anyone selling those Uberboard/Hoverboard/Segway type things?

Noticed on youtube recently a lot people getting these "uberboard" or "hoverboard" things (not 100% what they are called)

Saw in the news today footballers pictured with them

They're pretty cool, id consider buying one but googling it, it seems really hard to know a legitimate place to buy one from

Seems like only public figures have them atm rather than normal folks

Might be a good thing to get into selling now leading up to Christmas perhaps

I think they look great to have a go on, maybe hire one to try out on a day out somewhere with the family but if i saw someone zooming around town on one id probably think what a complete plonker they look like lol.

Probably a bit different in cities if there is wealth of people using them, Id see it as one of those things like remote control helicopters or drones that you get brought for Xmas, you think its great fun..........use it a handful of times in the first week or two and then it gets put in the shed of loft.

Murray, I think most are packaged as "smart balance wheel" and they are good fun, but dangerous too! They are reasonably good for core strength in your body until the point when it becomes easy to ride, then you just look like a plonker, and incredibly lazy. I do however see these much like drones being the products to have in the next few years.

I agree, I could see these roller board things catching on. Unlike the hover technology which has to deal with weight and gravity so basically is very difficult to achieve, these have mileage. Just gave some thought to what they might be called generically and came up with rollerboards, in fact in the US they have http://www.rollerboard.com/ - I checked domains and was surprised to find rollerboard dot co dot uk etc unreg'd... hopefully was worth a punt.

I'm no expert but there are various brands and some of them are on Amazon, I think they will be do huge sales for this Christmas
