hi there,
maybe one of you can point me into the right direction.
I am looking for an address list of all hosting companies and registrars in UK and IE, because I plan to market my hosting.co.uk domain more actively. Work is getting more and more, but it is just a sidebusiness.
It would be great if somebody can help.

What you looking to achieve from it, bringing together a directory, or looking to sell the domain?

The price expectation is well beyond what would be achievable from any of those links in my view (if at all); you'd be better approaching the multi-million pound corporations for any chance of a sale.

Hey Freddy - there are brokers for this kind of thing, e.g. www.rplmergers.com
They will help market the business for you.

You probably have to bear in mind that for someone already in the hosting business the value is primarily going to be in the recurring revenue (unless they're going to re-brand entirely around hosting.co.uk, which isn't an impossibility but if someone already has a brand that gets searched for, gets positive reviews and recommendations and so on then it's quite tricky).

approaching the right buyer is really a stretch like you already mentioned.
established hosters are usually thrilled by the brand hosting.co.uk but they usually also do not have the cash to buy it. so they come down to the discounted cashflow model.

the magic here will be to find somebody who is willing to pay the underlaying and unlocked value of the domain names hosting.co.uk and hosting.uk.

I am working already with a broker on this, the rplmergers guys look like they are in the 7-8 figure range.
