I'm looking to build an authority site which is based around a group of people and the geographical area they live in but am struggling with a domain name.

Do I go for an EMD which may be quite long or do I go for a good brandable domain?

I'm looking to get quite a bit of content on the site and get visitors through longtail keywords so what do you think?

Get the boost of an EMD or go for the brandable name that can be developed and promoted?

Thanks.

Branding costs money, high organic natural search is much better. Just my opinion thou. :-)

Exact match domain or a short one is my suggestion. However, it depends on what's available in that particular niche and your budget.

Thanks for your views everyone. Opted for the EMD instead of a shorter brand name.

Cheers :D
