I wasn't but really wanted to but the date wasn't convenient.

Was it worth going to?

Yeah was good. Saw Bill Thompson speak and got a good lunch, free jelly beans, a tour of lords, and of course the delightful Sarah Montague.

Sorry to hear your thoughts about the event were not so good. I must admit that there really was not that much new, Bill's talk is not news and there was not much meat on the bones. I think you can see from my reply what I enjoyed the most: i.e. the Jelly babies, the venue and the food. I found that there was not really enough time given over to networking and making contacts...perhaps due to the low attendance which was prob < 50 or so.

Not sure that sounds a fair deal ;-) See the cricket ball is really a cricket ball. It has an intrinsic value as a real cricket ball away from sentimental value. Paper is well, er paper, unless these are share certificates!
