One of the main reasons of joining is to reduce my registration bill. Where on the Nominet panel can I find my TAG information. Or do I have to complete further steps before I can work with my TAG.

Great! I actually got a new TAG. I have a lot of domains with LCN and will change the TAG, but I don't see any easy way to do it. I remember with heart there was an easy way to do it. These days, If I change the IPS TAG to mine, I presume I get an email confirmation to do it.

I have tried a test transfer with LCN to my TAG, but I cannot seem to find it popping up on my Nominet control panel and nor do I see any email from LCN. Any ideas what is happening with LCN etc behind the scenes?

From what I recall, you use the 'transfer away' option, select a reason why you are moving, then scroll down and pick the IPS TAG change option and submit. I think LCN take 48 hours to manually process it, at which point, as with any domain transferred in, you should get an email from Nominet confirming its arrival. Just make sure that if you have some kind of obscure privacy setting from LCN, that you untick it first, as your (assumed) self-managed tag from Nominet only allows 5 connected names and it might not match what you already have. By the same token, make sure your name is included in that list of connected names.

Thanks. I have been busy moving them one at a time. Now getting quicker at doing it, the manual way. But its now working and looking forward to rationalizing all my domains, savings some money.

I'm not into drop catching these days, should I bother? I used to a bit myself (non member, I think I caught approval.co.uk that way and paid 90+VAT) because I didnt want to be a Nominet member.
