Hi Guys,

This thread is really just to show off your one word .coms. (or great 2 words - must be great)

Please let me know if you have any and post them for others to see :)

Thanks
DB

Well obviously I'm in love with my own "TheDon.com"

The good thing about Gtlds and of course in particular .com . Is that it is much more versatile in terms of reselling. So while I'm happy to share my .com domains - I doubt many operating strictly in the UK space would see the same appeal in the domains

I have had some considerable sucess in selling domains suitable to Touchscreen applications as of late, I've probably still got around 10-20 (in that subject area) And most of them I've held around 10 years or so. The nice thing about NOT advertising domains for sale (particularly in .com) is that you don't then get "Cherry-picked" and your quality of holding seems to maintain

The reality is . You need a blinding domain in co.uk to make say 10,000 but, not so in .com. i hope I haven't swayed to far off topic. Guess what I'm trying to say is if as in your criteria your looking for "Great" words then your probably asking people to list domains that would sell in the $50,000+ Range.

One .com I'm fond of is studentbooks

It still allows books to be searched and Amazon dish them up, but since they changed their system the site hasn't been displaying book image, price and related books.

I know this is going off topic but can anyone tell me if getting this info back from changing the feed is possible (and within their terms).

We have over 3000 .com names, I just don't tend to mention them on this forum :)

Well that just shows you learn something new everyday.. Thats a nice number of .coms.

I'm surprised, Even on the International forums i'm only familiar with you discussing UK domains.

I knew Edwin was going to post that that!! lovely name Edwin!

Paul that is a nice .com well done, any background on how you aqcuired it?

Well it is nice to be right up there with Edwin in the UK geo .com space.
I have mosstodloch.com !
Regards
Bruce

I do quite like:

wicharger.com

Should be good when wireless charging comes in. For current tech, the best I can do is the three worder:

carsatnavs.com

Rgds

I like ChocGuard.com for when chocolate fireguards comes in.

OK, very funny, but you do know that wireless charging is likely to be a future technology for electric cars, not to mention household appliances? Apparently there will be solar panels in the road that can then recharge cars wirelessly as they drive along ... it's the future ... oh, and note that chocolatefireguard.com has been registered :D

Our local radio station is Rock FM - have they ever been in touch? I have contacts there.

RockFM.com - Rock FM - Rock FM Radio

No, never... the only companies who have contacted me to buy RockFM.com have been Ben Geren who owns Rock.fm and Fred Lintz who represents Rockfm.fr and Rockfm.mobi - I get around 20+ enquiries each year on the name but none which have come direct from the guys over at the .co.uk (typically gmail or yahoo addresses)

It's surprising how many rock fm stations there are around the world...

Hi Barry

Great .coms, lovely infact, as brewster states we have a local radio station called exactly that cant believe they have not purchased that!

Warwickshire
Rustics

I used to do a fair bit with .com, and other gTLDs. Got out due to the 7% annual increase in reg fees, jurisdiction concerns coupled with some crazy UDRP decisions, and that fact that it was getting increasingly hard to pick up half decent domains at sensible prices.
