Original content Minisites - anyone tried

I've seen a few offers from companies out there offering to design 5-8 page sites for you with original content (they write).
They are supposed to be seo friendly and you can add your ad partners codes in and articles etc..
Has anyone tried any of these companies offers and can anyone actually recomend someone. As if they can deliver what they're offering it really does sound good, but sadly i've found what the sales leter says you'll get and what you actually get can be 2 very different beasts.

Unique content is key, and there is a difference between unique content and 'unique content'
