Following on from the post below, I too am building a directory and I decided to use phpmydirectory since it apparently takes minutes to set up.

10 hours later I have no more hair to pull out after trying to follow the lamest user guide ever written, so I need to ask if there are any phpmydir experts in da house who can give me some pointers please?

I haven't used it for a while but from what I remember it was pretty straight forward, what are you stuck with?

Hi Grant,
thanks for the reply.

I had a few problems that I couldn't make head nor tale of but it looks like part of the installation didn't work right.

I've out a ticket in to them for them to fix those then I'll see where I am.

Have you done much template editing, changing the look of the layout, etc?

I'll have a look afer I've got the basics working.

In the meantime do you know of a good/cheap place to get the UK postcode/latitude/longt/ from?

I've tried with the first block of numbers per postcode, eg , AB11, LS1, but it apparently needs all the digits of each postcode of it - d oyou know where this ca nbe obtained for free?
