I can never get my head around these new fangled things called computers.

Just upgraded to windows 7 (64 bit) all my log-ons work and remain logged in if I request . Except Acorndomains - I'm ticking the box and NOT getting any permission screens. so any reason why I'm having to log-on at Acorn, even when I haven't closed my browser i having to log on each time.

Thanks for any quick fix

Ray
Try deleting the cookie for Acorn, then try again.
I had a similar problem a while ago, and I am sure ot was a cookie problem.
Maybe even just logging out of Acorn and back in again would update it.

Thanks but just tried both measures with a reboot - to no avail. I'm must be lurking in one of the permission files somewhere.

Windows 7 certainly likes to ask you to authorise just about everything - I might of accidently hit a No when setting-up.

Try deleting the www, or adding it.

Had a similar problem a while ago, and that was the problem.

I'm on W7 64-bit with no issue. Which browser you using?

Admin - i've tried all that but, still no go.

I'm using the latest version of Explorer. I'll try using another browser to see if that works. I have been having this problem since I brought the laptop 4 weeks ago. But only with the Acorn log-on.

knowing me - it was when all those pest-permissions you get at the beginning of using MS 7 (I know MS say they dropped all the defaults and went the strickly "permission-required" format. For some sensible reasons. Trouble with me is I've got no bloody patience

Good idea. It's like starting to use clean glasses: you see and taste the world differently :p

Cheers for all the suggestions guys - Now sorted and working normally. Don't asked me what solved it - I just pressed/clicked through all the solutions offered - so one of them worked :p
