Hi,

I've recently transferred a .co.uk into my account with 123-reg.

I want to register the .uk version, but when I search for it on 123-reg, it doesn;t come up that it's available for me to register.

I'm guessing there is a way of doing this. Can anyone shed some light?

Many thanks, Phil

Maybe check the name and address details match for your account and the co.uk you have transferred in?

Ditto, to both points.

A) 123-reg seem to be one of the least reliable companies in the business (there are many, many horror stories about billing and other issues if you Google them)
B) Your domains are of very significant value, so compared to that the tag cost should be of no consequence. Chalk up the one-off fee as a "cost of doing business", and you'll pretty much get the annual fee back in renewal savings even with your small portfolio.

If changing to Nominet means you'll have to sort out DNS provision, then somebody like DNSMadeEasy.com should provide everything you need.

At the moment I'm setting up a public facing registrar with 8 staff who can provide support. The idea is no-spam no-rubbish registrations with far more control than crappy 123reg and some of the other big registrars around (also cheaper). Hopefully if others do the same we can change the landscape a bit.

Think Dazc is spot on. I had exactly the same issue with a domain and it turned out my reg details were slightly different .As soon as I made them exactly the same it worked.
