Looks like it...
Martin's post was a genuine albeit cheeky offer. Your's offered nothing more than the usual turgid drivvel that you spout.
I actually found your post ironic given some of the prices I've heard you quote people.

More details please...!
You're typing well for "back from the pub" mode.

that's what messaging is for. Sales threads are out of bounds, either that or we have a free for all which i promise you will get very messy. Domains are about opinion and if someone wants to ask £1 million for a name you think is worth £5 that's their choice, it'll only sell if someone agrees with their valuation. Making negative comments turns into a petty squabble and helps no one.

As a general rule of thumb you're right, but life isn't black and white
I notice no one is up in arms about people commenting on this sacred sales thread

It's not a general rule of thumb - it is a rule full stop.
I hadn't seen that thread you linked to, but any concerns should have been flagged to a mod. Nobody should be commenting on it.
I disagree. If simply visiting a link in a sales thread can result in malware being installed if somebody doesn't have up to date antivirus software running then it is logical to flag that to the attention of EVERYONE reading that thread for the good of the wider Acorn community.
But that is an extreme case, admittedly.
At the end of the day, it's up to Admin to rule on "edge" cases like that. We can all put in our 2p's worth, but he has the final say (the only say that really counts)
Murray gave this as an example of why it was okay to comment on sales threads, but his own comments on sales threads are no more than his own opinion, nothing to do with malware or the like.
I think two different things are being discussed
A specific indecent + whether rules should be followed at all times.
Everyone keeps saying rules are rules, but nothing is ever black and white, that was an example of that.
Maybe my grey area is wider than appreciated.
