Does anyone know whether google sees white writing on a background image that is not white to be non content?

With google not reading images it would not know whether the background image was white???

google reads the html code not the web page, it does try and crack down on same colour text on coloured backgrounds..

yeah i tend to be cautious with google :)

good back links and well coded page with good keyword density should do the trick (and minimise all risk)

:)

I'd say your taking a big risk. but I think google can't tell what an image actually looks like so you might be safe! but it's better not too, you never know!

Hi,

No!

You will get your site banned.

This is an old blackhat technique that was dropped ages ago.

Do the basics first:

Use a good readable title tag with your 2 top keyword phrases.
Use this same phrase as your H1 text

Have a 2-3 line intorductory paragragh/description in H2 tag, which you reuse as your description metatag.

Put the 3 top keyphrases in your metatag keywords, though the top engine don't read that tag anymore.

Images ... save as keyword phrases, not image1.jpg, image2 etc
Use Alt tags for all images, using same phrase.

Links ... use keyword search phrases, and a title tag with same phrase again.

All basic stuff, but it's always worked as a starting point.

Hope this helps,

Best,

Vic
