students.co.uk

After nearly 3 years of trying I finally got my hands on students.co.uk for £4k

Work has started on the site and should be live by the end of the year together with schools.org.uk which I picked up a couple of months ago.

Congrats Paul, fantastic name and a massive audience, sounds like a good bit of perseverance...bloody students!

I would probably say the domain bargain of the year 2008

Amazing domain with a huge captive audience

You should be very pleased with yourself, especially after waiting 3 years

Well done !

Congratulations on your persistence paying off, it's a nice name and should work well.

How come you haven't got a coming soon holding page up yet? Best to get it into the search engines early, no?

Best rgds

Congrats - I'll buy it off you for 5k!

I'm sure I contacted them about this in the past and offered more. Connected to UCL wasn't it?

This is the definition of irony for letting this go so cheap:check out their archive page

I made a much more attractive offer for it last year. A mystery to me how these public bodies function.

Likewise, very very odd but congrats all the same!

To the winner the spoils and well done to Paul, but it leaves me scratching my head about how these bodies go about their business. Just an odd one. Oh well

Congratulations Paul, great name. Good luck with the future development. Between that and competitions.co.uk you will be busy for a while!

I guess it was all down to finding the right contact, I helped them when it was a Pre Nom and was just about to drop so I knew who could ultimately make the decision.

Have had to put competitions.co.uk on hold for a few months but fingers crossed that will be up by the end of January.

Congrats - I'll buy it off you for 5k!

Thanks woopwoop for the offer and to all the other people who have offered to buy it, but this domain will not be for sale
