Yes we got our email just now. Tier 1 @ 150/minute.

Therefore current levels of interest mean any registrations at www.dropcatcher.co.uk will be attempted in the 1st 'minute'.

Just had mine. I've been allocated 9 attempts per minute despite only depositing £500 - have others found that they've had their limits increased?

Are the requests per minute the same as originally set out?

The allocations were subject to take up and the number of qualifying registrars. For the top tier, the requests for registration per minute remain at 150. For tiers 2, 3 and 4, they increase to 75, 12 and 9 requests per minute respectively.

I've got 9 also. Kinda wish id ponied up the 4.5 for the small extra edge.

If your connecting to the live EPP (including ROR-EPP) you need your ip address in the live epp settings.

Wonder why they are using the normal dac when they were concerned about overloading a single server! Dac will get hammered too.

Live epp works fine (and always has) for me but ror epp doesn't - IP not changed for days so it should be immediate access?

They actually tried to tell me in an early email that the DAC will be pointless (in that it's unreliable) at release because of time to update. Maybe they don't think anyone is going to use it.

Yes you don't need it will all be over in less than one minute each day

Actually I can think of two situations where a properly functioning DAC would be useful. However they can't even sync them properly on normal chasing (fed up of seeing a N but getting your registration in *before* the domain is EPP available?) so not surprising it won't work under a heavy load.

Still cant access live epp. IP been added for days now but still getting

Works immediately if i switch to test. Anyone else in same boat or have i screwed up somewhere ?

Hey Dee, why not wait for the final release? Also, is the live RoR EPP on a different port? Maybe you need to open those on your firewall? My issues was ConfigServer blocking port 700 and the port for DAC

Cheers Ben. Ports are same as test EPP ( arent they?) which has been working fine . 700 and 3043 ? Although is DAC even needed?

I'm just trying to make sure I have a connection. This has been a massive learning curve for me so trying to get ahead of the game.I'll need to be good to go before the day as being nimble with Linux servers is defo not my bag Amazing @Aaron Clifford has been very patient and helpful.

Hey, at least you've learned something new! Also. not entirely sure what's going on with DAC, I mean, it's included in the script but who knows. I'm waiting until the final release, will set it up on cron then and fire off 9 a ̶s̶e̶c̶o̶n̶d̶ minute, and hope for the best. It'll be fun for 60 seconds or so I imagine, lol.

Absolutely. I've really got a lot out of it actually. Dealing with non-GUI and command line has been great to learn and gets the gears turning. Now after setting up and learning about NTP on server im wondering if I need to be working on getting better timing as I'm only within 7ms lol. Wondering if I'm banging first 9 in 7ms before names have dropped etc so with waste only decent chance which is first hit at 2oclock. Makes you appreciate the work and tweaking and nuance of microcode that goes into a good drop catcher.
