I wonder what private sales break into this top 10??

Roughly I would say:
1 ?????
2 ?????
3 connected.co.uk
4 ?????
5 ?????
6 hero.co.uk
7 ?????
8 ?????
9 ?????
10 ?????

Also with some sales its not always clear if the 'headline' figure is inc vat etc

Would you pay that money for some of those??

reviews.co.uk is a stand out name in my opinion a cracker to develop and if you wanted a project to get your teeth into and knew what you were doing the outlay would be easily recouped quickly.

Thing is, if I were to spend that amount on a .co.uk domain then I would definitely want the .com as well.

Always thought a confidential list of domain sales publically querable would be handy for .uk and certainly eye opening.

Would need to be done in a trusted manner both with the names being kept quiet, and the prices verifiable!

i agree with this, i can name 2 or 3 which would hit the top 5 , and i am willing to bet there were more than a few £xxx,xxx private sales which never got talked about
