Tracking emails system

Hi, does anyone know of a good (cheapish) system that can do the following.

Allow me to send emails and keep a log of the email address i have contacted and also allows m to track what emails have been opened/read.

Mandrill used to be good for transactional mail but they've now merged with paid accounts with Mailchimp only. Their reporting used to be really good and the basic mailchimp account i think is 10 or 20 dollars.

Other options similar and what im using currently is Sparkpost ( 100k emails amonth for free ) which does have reasonable tracking but not as good as Mandril was and then send grid which im really impressed with all round ( 12k emails free a month )
