Hi all, Looking for some advice from you all.

I sold a domain name to a guy in the transport business via sedo. The guy took ages and two nominet requests to go through.

The domain name was transferred eventually but I noticed my address still in the whois but just the registrant name had changed.

Later. I found that it was still in my fasthosts account. So I logged into nominet and it was still there along with his company domain ???? (BTW this guy uses fasthosts as well)

Further research reveals that this guy owns several LTD companies together worth millions and probably high xxx employees. I have his main group domain sitting in my account.

Now, I obliviously phone one of his companies trying to get hold of him straight away, Getting bounced around different departments like a ping pong ball. I have left my name, number and asked for the guy (Who is the MD) to call me to sort this out ASAP. Still waiting....

Not sure how this can of happened and not sure how to proceed in getting it rectified.
Any advice is welcome to cover my arse etc.

Laz

The domain will remain in your Nominet account until they change the email address used to admin the domain, rather than the postal address. You could if you really wanted take the domain back by doing a transfer to yourself, or editing the details; not that there is any reason to, aside from getting their attention.

Not sure why another of their company names would be there, unless you had previous dealings with them on it? Sounds like they've put the two together using your email address, odd!

Yes thanks, So he could have somehow used my email or accidentally updated existing domains to my email address during the transfer process. Strange

So maybe within fasthosts I can set his domains admin contact to his nominet email address and they should appear back with him ?

Thanks Laz
