Anyone else found any 4+ character .uk domains held back by Nominet?

Currently they’re indicating to me that there are multiple domains not dropping in stage 1 or 2, and they’re being evasive as to why. Their suggestion was to just check the FAQ regularly.

(Rob indicated he’d also failed to find out, but I’m thinking that by this afternoon there will be three days worth of people finding this out for themselves)

Yes I knew, I didn't publicly post about it in hopes it would be made available at some point and I could sweep it up in somewhat secrecy (all though I expected others to notice of course)

Very strange indeed... esp as the L and LL have gone through the releases?

Yeah... everything else but some random ones that don't make sense.

z.uk and k.uk were even released... so much higher value/demand names from shortness perspective than just 3 characters...

What's funny is nominet saying they don't know why it is. Um ok.... who runs the platform again? Money well spent on their wages clearly.

They do need some "problems" they can address to justify the next round of board member percentage renumeration increases though...

There was a thread on the Nominet forum about this where Nick (General Counsel) responded.

However looks like Nominet haven’t paid the vbulletin bill so the forum is down:

https://forum.nominet.uk/

Basically....

The rights of registration to Lee.uk Nah.uk Ogi.uk etc were registered at another registrar however the registrant didn’t approve the email sent to the admin contact. That caused 900 names to be missed off the drop list.

So far I’ve only seen Go.uk complete.

When I emailed Nominet I got this back:

We'll be providing more information on any domain names held back so far in due course, and the best I can advise now is to check the FAQs periodically.

Well, according to Nominet, lee.uk is now in the hands of the .co.uk owner......at GODADDY. Favour for the boys eh!!!

Nominet seems to have pushed them all through today free of charge:

"Our records show that the following equivalent .uk domain name(s) were pending registration when the deadline passed, i.e. attempts had been made to register before the deadline but the registration had not been completed.
We have therefore registered the equivalent .uk domain on behalf of your registrant. The registration is for one year and neither you nor your registrant has been charged for this domain(s)."
