Urgent! URL shortening

A buddy of mine needs a URL shortening/tagging script -- can anyone recommend anything? I've tried Googling for it but all I come up with is crap.

Would be a piece of piss to make - just have a db table with ids and urls. When the script is called with an id, just look up the url in the table and set location in the header.
