What Are The Chances of that?

I'm new to this... even though I joined in 2008, I've been busy

Have found a great name that's dropping tomorrow... signed up with a capture service that monitors if domain has dropped loads of times a second.

The problem is, that it is a really good name, so I think at least a few people will have back-ordered it.

In your experience, what are the chances of successfully getting the domain?

Chances variable... depends on catcher and good luck!

If it's valuable to others too, make sure you get it signed up with a number of different drop catchers...

Also depends on how good the domain really is. I have booked many domains in the past thinking they are the greatest ever only to later find out they are worthless and that probably, i was the only one going for it.

If the name is good, it is rare that a public catcher would still have it unbooked the day before drop as a lot of people will book a long time in advance, so you've either found a gem or nobody else was interested in it.
