Who are people using for logos these days?

Searched through old posts from people with the same question, but thought I'd ask again since a lot of the people that were recommended seem to be gone.

Anyway, who are people using at the moment for logos? I've always used fiverr in the past but have had a few crappy, crappy logos from there recently. (can't complain tbh at that price)

Anyone have any recommendations? Not looking for something amazing, just something for yet another site (£xx?)

I find all you need is a nice free font and photoshop :)

I agree with max99x, I use inkscape & the gimp combined with free fonts and vectors from the web. I can usually put something together that I like.

I'm not great at design plus don't have the time now, but I see your point :)

I went out to 99Designs but none of them were any good really - only around 10% read and understood the spec so I created my own with the Avenir font and illustrator.

I would say that it is worth buying a premium font, and adjusting the kerning to make a proper logo.

Also ensure you find a good body text font that matches and stick to them everywhere.
