I am getting bombarded with “SEO offers” from this “First Found” (I think they are a Limited company based in Manchester).

They send me messages like: “…If <my website> site is not generating enough new customers, it could be that search engines are not listing the site very highly or perhaps not at all.”

And they are talking about my sites which are No. 1 in SERPs for years. Today I had some trouble explaining to a non-techie corporate customer (which received the same message) that there is nothing above No1 in G.

Could they at list check SERPs before spamming?

Does anyone know anything about them?

I found some info saying that they charge £700 initially and so much per month, they get you ranked for a month or two and then let it drop, I believe that there telesales pitch is harsh and rude.

I also read that they are part of a well established company with a £500,000 annual turnover.

I think the best thing to do is stick to your own SEO if your hitting no1 anyway.

Thanks for the info! I never outsource SEO, it's would be like giving some of my job to someone else :) But they approach my clients, and clients come back to me so I have to say something like "You are already No.1, nothing else could be done!". Silly situation, huh...

I had a new one today, from the WebMarketing Group. I quote, describing one of my sites which ranks 2 to 5 on G for many very competitive keywords:

"...you may be curious as to why the site isn’t ranking, and with that in mind I wondered if you would like a free SEO audit on the site looking at the meta-data, the keyword density..."

Made me laugh anyway :D
