Mentioned in a different thread about godaddy saying $80 fee to restore a name that was deleted from my account.

Done some research on the name tonight. These are the companies that have been involved:

BelgiumDomains - who now have it.

Involved:

DSTR Acquisition VII, LLC (IHOLDINGS-COM-DOM)
DSTR Acquisition VII, LLC (DOTREGISTER-COM-DOM)

Any info. on these guys? What's gone on to wind up in this situation.

I paid 12 mths registration back in november 2005.

I still need to sort another extension of the name so please bear with me before I post the name.

My initial thought was to fire off an email to godaddy asking them to explain why this has happened and to demand it's restoration as I'd previously requested this but was sold the $80 BS...

Before I do, I thought wise to consult with board members as to any ideas on what to do...

Appreciate any feedback on this...

I'll update the thread as I get further info...

Customer Inquiry
Godaddy

Please can you explain to me why my request for a domain name: =
will reveal name soon .com was not restored back into my account as requested.

At the time of request for re-instatatement, the name was still pointing =
to your nameservers.

As this name is my property and I paid 12 mths registration fees for it, =
can you explain why I have subsequently found that the name was sold to =
a domaining company who inturn have registered it to belgiumdomains.

Finally, can you also explain why domain purchasers (myself included) =
are not notified of and paid any commissions on revenue that you =
generate from your advertising aggregators as a result of our domain =
registrations from type-in and typo traffic.

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email. The domain name expired. I show you contacted us about this and numerous other domains; however, you were never able to verify the account properly so we could restore the domains. The domain "will reveal name soon .com" appears to be available according to Verisign WHOIS.

I am not sure what you are referring to for "advertising aggregators as a result of our domain registrations from type-in and typo traffic". You would need to be more specific.

Utter BS...

Looks like it's time for round 2....
