123-reg failed to auto-renew one of my domains.

When I contacted them they apologies with no explanation.

Just a warning to anyone who uses them.

You should never trust ANY registrar to renew your domains, always keep your own portfolio list and WHOIS scan it at least monthly for any changes in status.

I got an apology for the failed auto renew, however tonight I've received two PayPal notifications for a domain I cancelled and another I no longer own.

123 are the biggest shambles.. their wordpress hosting I have found awful, their customer support I've found poor, I wouldn't use them for anything now.

This is brilliant:

123-Reg - 10:30am: We've cancelled your ****.co.uk and ****.org.uk domain names and issued a refund for the renewal. Please note that it can take up to 5 working days for the refund to be properly processed into your bank account.

No apology.

123-Reg - 11.31am: Invoice and renewal payment automatically taken for the same domains a second time!
