Well if they wont change the Reserves back to your original amounts then you have no allternative but to pull them if you can, i am not sure if the agreement you signed will make this difficult.

I was a bit unsure about the agreement to begin with(see previous reply in this topic) but i was reassured by other members, though the 6 names i have involved do not have big reserves so the 1-5000 bracket they are in is ok.

As far as the names not being included in the Auction if you want to change the reserves, i presume is more of a clerical time scale thing rather than an obstinate thing?

Someones screwed up with the submitted figures, just trying to sort it now - and I do have the option to pull the lot which is probably gonna happen.....

In threads on DNF people have commented that their price ranges dont match the reserves etc so there could be a wider cock up :(

Some spanner has mistaken the bid increment figure for the reserve price, hence I have two top domains going to live auction with a $1k reserve, good job I'm not on holiday for 2 weeks!!!!!!!

Where can I sign up to the auction :) might make a cheeky bid :)

By the sounds of it it isn't just me affected then, with the reserve prices set as blocks on the master list there is no way of knowing if you're affected either I guess - potentially your bid increment has now become your reserve...

Shocking behaviour considering they make out they are the top pro's around - maybe just in .com :)

I have a couple of .co.uk's that I initally put forward but didnt in the end due to the restrictive T&C's.

I intitially put forward names too and then decided not to proceed.

I see 3 of my names are now in the silent auction??? I have not signed any contract and I do not have a moniker account.

I think i'll wait to see where they end up before I make any decisions

I think they have done well just to be included as I presume they rejected thousands.

All in all, very good pr for the extention.

Agreed it is good PR - however if stuff like cartoonporn . org.uk is in the top 2500 names submitted I would like to see the other several thousand rejected. It is a large jump from Porn.com to that .org.uk :)

No offence if you/anyone here is the owner of the cartoonporn name, but it struck me as a tad crap and checking the whois it was regged Nov 06 however could be a drop. I also am not up with my porn terms so this might be a niche market that is worth a few quid - so apologies in advance if this is the case.

Did anyone here have a name rejected?

rejected

I submitted 8........... 6 got in, 2 didn't, brazilporn.co.uk and age18.co.uk

Silent Auction

The silent auction started yesterday and runs to 24th January ???

This is from a post by moniker:

I have checked the silent auction, (using scooters post info for free entry).

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/general-board/13834-free-moniker-porn-auction-entry.html

There seem to be no bid's on any names so far.

My names all seem to have a starting bid of $200...with $25 bid increments..even though i didn't set the reserve at this amount?

It seems that Moniker have taken it upon themselves to set this starting amount as it is not the reserve i set when submitting the form? all my reserves were lower than $200

All a bit confusing really as this could effect whether they sell or not, maybe they have to achieve a certain amount of commision to make it worth their while, but then what was the point of us setting our own reserves and bid increments on the application form?

Very odd:confused:

Well, my initial fiasco is sorted and my domains are still in there - the problem now is that some of them have double the reserve prices that I submitted!!!!!!!!!!

I give up.

After their first cockup I also asked to be shown a complete list of the amended domains/prices before they were put back in the auction - this has not been done - shoddy.........
