Hi,

This is a green newbie question.

I've been using the keyword tool a lot over the last few days looking up all manner of things.

I noticed, rather surprisingly, that there are lots of adult phrases with high local monthly exacts (15-20,000) where the .co.uk is still available to register.

Is there an obvious reason for this?

I've no interest in developing an adult site myself but would only buy any of the domains if I thought I could sell them fairly quickly. Was very surprised that there's such a high availability of names and curious to know why if anyone can explain....

Dot com is king in the adult world I presume. I bought a few when I first started out but became increasingly worried that they would tarnish any good reputation I would achieve outside of that industry, so I dropped them even though they were getting some traffic.

Hey,

Thanks for your reply. You've more or less confirmed what I was thinking. I think I'll steer well clear. I noticed there are a lot of similarly high keyword domains on Sedo are for sale and they seem to be generating no interest. I guess the keyword tool cant be taken at face value for everything!
